Access launches via REST API or MCP for your tools
Build integrations with the /api/v1 endpoint or connect your AI assistant through our MCP server.

Endpoints and protocols
Startup Biz Today exposes two integration paths. The REST API lives at /api/v1 with full OpenAPI 3.1 specification available at /api/v1/openapi.json. For AI assistants including Claude, a remote MCP server runs at /mcp, letting them search launches, retrieve listing details and (if you grant access) compose or update your own submissions.
Authentication
Both pathways use OAuth sign-in—your assistant opens a browser window to this site to authenticate—or a personal API key stored in /account/developers. Keys display once only; Startup Biz Today retains only a hash. Keep your key private; treat it as you would a password.
Quotas, payments and restrictions
Rate limits and daily quotas govern API use. When you purchase, the API returns a checkout link; all billing occurs on this site, not through your application. Note that voting is unavailable through the API.
For technical questions and implementation guidance, see /developers.
Questions people ask
- Can I use the API to vote on launches?
- No. The API supports search, read and listing management only. Voting must happen on the site itself.
- Where do I find my API key?
- Sign in at /account/developers to view your key. It appears once; save it somewhere safe. You cannot retrieve it again.
- How do I pay for API usage?
- When you exceed free limits, the API returns a checkout link. Complete payment on this site. Billing happens here, not in your integration.
