How badges and dofollow links work
Free listings require our badge on your site. Dofollow status depends on your Domain Rating and spam checks.

Badge placement and HTML
Every listing can display our badge on your website. Head to your listing's badge page to select a design—choose from different shapes, light or dark variants, and sizes. Copy the HTML snippet provided and embed it wherever you want.
Free listings: badge requirement
Free listings publish only after our crawler detects the badge on your website. We run automatic checks every 7 days. If the badge goes missing, your listing reverts to "waiting for badge" and we notify you by email. Restore it and publication resumes automatically.
Link status: nofollow or dofollow
The badge starts as nofollow. Our system evaluates it in real time based on two factors: your site's Domain Rating (Ahrefs) and our spam filters. If your Domain Rating reaches 20 or higher and passes our checks, the link becomes dofollow. Otherwise it remains nofollow.
Paid launches receive a dofollow link from your listing page to your website. Free listings get a nofollow link.
Earned badges
Launch of the Week, Featured, Launched and Verified badges appear automatically once you qualify for them. These are separate from the placement badge.
Questions people ask
- When does my badge turn into a dofollow link?
- Your badge becomes dofollow when your Domain Rating (via Ahrefs) reaches 20 and our spam checks pass. We evaluate this live on each check.
- What happens if I remove the badge?
- We check every 7 days. If it is gone, your free listing moves back to awaiting publication and you receive an email notification. Reinstall it to go live again.
- Do paid launches get different link treatment?
- Yes. Paid launches get a dofollow link from the listing page to your site. Free listings receive a nofollow link.
